Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 - Broken Things

chapter 5
Eye For An Eye
The Player runs through tight corridors from a vengeful Huggy.
The chapter starts with the Wrongside Outimals Commercial tape before the gameplay begins. After The Player reaches The Labs and is met with a vengeful Huggy Wuggy, they run from Huggy throughout the facility. After fleeing from Huggy, the Player manages to reach the depths of the Labs. Along the corridors, the Player encounters Huggy once again, subsequently to flee inside an elevator.
Eventually, after being cornered, The Player attempts to scan a hand scanner with the Omni-Hand but Huggy manages to steal the GrabPack 2.0, resulting in The Player losing it and the elevator plummeting to the ground. Shortly after regaining consciousness, the Player stumbles through Recycling and Reclamation, which is populated by Outimals.
Giblet introduces himself.
Without any GrabPack equipment, the Player explores the area and obtains Glowby, a star-shaped flashlight toy that can be used to illuminate the glow-in-the-dark effects inside the Labs. As the Player walks through abandoned facilities, they are attacked by one of the Outimals until a creature named Giblet intervenes, saving them and introducing himself as an ally, dubbing the Player "The Playtime Butcher".

Following Giblet, they quickly hide as the Prototype arrives. After he leaves, the Player and Giblet flee through the vents and safely reach Giblet's hideout. He explains that the Player must travel to The Boilers, where he says he saw an old, discarded GrabPack that they can use. Alone, the Player makes their way to the Boilers, where they encounter Bron getting eaten by hungry Outimals. The Player grabs the old GrabPack from Bron's mouth and, after unlocking a coded locker, also obtains the Pressurized Hand.
New Friends And Lost Memories
The Player further progresses through the laboratory. But upon reaching Giblet, The Player is grabbed and nearly eaten by Chum Chompkins, who is distrustful of them even with Giblet clarifying the situation. The Player is tasked with finding some research notes on The Prototype while Giblet and Chum go to finalize plans. Having found the notes, along with some EMU Cuffs, The Player returns to Giblet and Chum.
Chum prepares to hide the Player in his mouth.
Giblet explains that they have a backup of the "negation formula", The Prototype's weakness, on a backup in the IT center. However, they all hear The Prototype approaching, so The Player is quickly grabbed by Chum who unceremoniously stuffs them inside his mouth to avoid detection; they are spit back out and Chum wordlessly apologizes by giving them a head pat, before leaving down a corridor.
The Player heads toward Reanimation through a section of the Labs focused on mentally conditioning the orphans who were converted into toys. They find a Conductive Hand, which they use to clear Poppy Gel obstructions and reach the neural mapping machine. Needing to collect memories to reveal a code that opens a door, the Player searches the conditioning rooms for Huggy Wuggy's memories.

After finding the memories and revealing the code, they are ambushed by Huggy Wuggy a second time. Following a chase through the ventilation system, they crash into another series of conditioning rooms, where Huggy is mesmerized by projections of Kissy Missy. Using these projections as a distraction, the Player opens the door to a location named Sweet Street.
The Tea Party
As they cross Sweet Street, the Player is ambushed by Lily Lovebraids, who brings them to her giant dollhouse and tasks them with preparing for a tea party. When sent to find crumpets in the basement, the Player encounters Poppy and Kissy, who have been imprisoned by Lily. Poppy apologizes for everything that happened before asking the Player to find a way to free them. Lily then assigns the Player the task of bringing her "friends" to the tea party. After completing several tasks and freeing both Poppy and Kissy, the Player attempts to escape, only to be captured again by Lily and dragged into her unsettling tea party. Lily excitedly announces the arrival of a "special guest", who is revealed to be the Prototype; the Player coming face-to-face with him for the first time.

During a conversation between the Prototype and Poppy, it is revealed that the Prototype has sent the orphans to a "Better Place", causing her to become distraught and furious at him, calling him a monster. He accidentally damages Poppy, dropping her before turning to the Player and threatening to turn them "wrongside out". When Lily attempts to take Poppy, the Prototype knocks her aside, accidentally releasing the braids restraining Kissy. Kissy attacks the Prototype, forcing him to flee, so the Player and Kissy take the opportunity to escape from Lily's dollhouse, with Kissy taking Poppy with her.
Lily Lovebraids falls to her death.
However, Lily quickly intercepts the Player's escape and begins chasing them. The Player finds another path leading to the attic and onto the roof, jumping onto the fake clouds hanging from the ceiling of Sweet Street, as Lily follows behind. Taking advantage of the situation, the Player snaps the wires holding the cloud Lily is standing on using their Pressurized Hand, causing her to slip and fall onto the ground below, and for the cloud itself to fall on top of her, crushing her.
Final Confrontation
The Player then reunites with Giblet, Poppy, and Kissy, seeing the damage the Prototype has done to Poppy. Giblet tasks the Player with finding the backup by heading to the tram. To get there, The Player is forced to go deeper within The Labs and overcome various obstacles, all while being stalked by The Prototype. Eventually, Huggy Wuggy ambushes The Player and chases them once again before finding Kissy waiting at the tram station.

The Player witnesses Kissy calming Huggy down but is powerless to stop the Prototype from impaling the both of them, presumably killing them. The Prototype then forces the Player onto the tracks and begins pursuing them as they board the tram heading for the Data Center. In a desperate attempt to stop the Prototype, Giblet intentionally crashes the tram, but the Prototype survives. As the Player and Poppy run toward the Data Center, he wounds the Player, submerges them into a vat of Poppy Gel, and takes Poppy with him. As the Player sinks, they experience a vivid hallucination of Poppy's voice, eerily echoing words from their first nightmare: "Should you come back years later, your conscience finally getting the better of you, may you descend into the dark and the dust… Welcome home."
The Doctor comes face to face with the Player once again.
The Player blacks out, and then sees the words: "We still need you… Get up." Moments later, Giblet revives them using his cane and tells them that the Prototype has taken Poppy. Together, the Player and Giblet head into to the Data Center to form a plan to save Poppy and stop the Prototype, where they find the backup to be containing The Doctor, who ominously remarks, "Well now, this is a rather interesting turn of events."
